Welcome to the world.

I just wanna take a second out of my normal beauty, and fashion posts, to say something really important. Wednesday, my cousin Rebecca and her husband Brian bought a new baby boy into this world. I'm so excited and blessed as my whole family is to welcome this beautiful baby boy into our family.

Little baby David Alexander was born Wednesday, and weighed 9lbs 4oz.
I cannot wait to meet him.
Congradulations Beck and Brian, as well as Jack and Jason, Davids two miracle brothers.
I love you all very much.
Love Always,
-Cousin Kristen.

MGMT.

You were a child,
crawling on your knees toward it.
Making mama so proud,
but your voice was too loud.

We like to watch you laughing.
You pick the insects off plants.
No time to think of consequences.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanting,
To be haunted.
The water is warm,
but it's sending me shivers.
A baby is born,
crying out for attention.Memories fade,
like looking through a fogged mirror
Decision to decisions are made and not bought
But I thought,
this wouldn't hurt a lot.
I guess not.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wanting,
To be haunted.

An oldie, but goodie.
Check it out, it's called Kids by MGMT.

Addict.

I've come to terms with the fact,
that I have an addiction.

When it first set in, it was all a blur.

I know.
This is the first step.
Right?
But I'm not stopping.
No way.
I've fallen way to far in love...
with..
Cocktail rings.

Golden Globe Favs.

The only part that I watch of the Golden Globes, is of course the red carpet. As any other fashion obsessed person, I critique or fall in love with every single dress

that walks down the carpet. This season, was no different.

Here are some of my top Golden Globe picks of 2011:

Of course, Ann Hathaway in Armani-

Such an incredible gown by Armani. The color, the style, and open back was so beautiful, and Hathaway wore the dress and completely rocked it.

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa-

What other word could describe this dress than Princess? Seriously. Stunning, and not over done by extreme hair or makeup. Pairing with simple accessories and sick shoes, Wilde defffffinitly pulled off the perfect fairytake. A red carpet fav.

Carrie Underwood in Bagdley Mischka-

When I first saw Underwood come down the runway, I actually thought this dress was straight lace. I liked it, until I realized it was sequined, and then I fell in love. I love Carrie Underwood, and now Bagdley Mischka. Paired with a metallic clutch and slicked back hair, Underwood is definitely a show stopper.

Eva Longoria in Zac Posen-

Never to be out shined, once again Eva Longoria rocked the red carpet in this Zac Posen gown. Black usually is frowned upon for a huge event like the globes, but not that night. She was stunning. Everything from her dress to makeup was perfect.

Angelina Jolie in Versace-

Green? A bit different, but perfect matched with Jolie's flawless pale skin and dark hair. I loved it personally, because of the long sleeves. A huge trend this year at the globes. A+ Jolie, and your husband wasn't too shabby either.

Leah Michelle in Oscar De La Renta-

Pretty in Pink, much? Glee star Leah Michelle was glowing in this pink De La Renta gown at globes. I never think Michelle looks bad, especially not tonight. I thought this dress had something a bit vintage-esc to it. Her hair and earrings were adorable also. Love it!

The globes were wonderful this year, and I'm so excited for award season to start again. Who were your favorites from this years Golden Globes?

Last friday night.

For the past few months there has been talk about OPI releasing a Katy Perry themed collection. How incredible would that be? Katy Perry should be bottled up and thrown on someones nails, like mine.

The talk was true. The collection seems pretty unique too.

There are five colors listed as of now that are incorporated with the collection, all using track titles from her recent album.

* Last Friday Night (bold glittery blue)
* Not Like The Movies (chrome silver)
* The One That Got Away (deep metallic berry)
* Teenage Dream (disco light pink)
* Black Shatter (the crackling top coat)

The thing that makes this collection unique, is, in fact, the top coat. Apparently, when you put this coat over a polish, it creates a speckled, " black-shatter ". I find this to be so amazing, and probably very beautiful if done well.

If anyone has checked out the collection, let me know. I definitely want to pick it up.

Cause, baby,you're a firework.

Say yes to the dress.

So my banquet is not happening, which sucks. Completely.
So, what is next to look foward/stress about?
PROM.

I've always been obsessed with prom dresses, because I have so many older friends and cousins who've gone to prom before me. I've gotten to see all of their dresses, now it's time for mine. So exciting.

Here's a few I've looked at just browsing.

Choice One:

Choice Two:

Choice Three:

Choice Four:

Clearly, these are not the only choices I have, but just some pretty beautiful dresses to base opinions off of.
What do you think?

What's in that?

I'm really not sure why, but I've been obsessing over the " What's in my bag? " Tag videos on youtube. Since I'm not a youtube-r, yet I love them..why not join in the craze?

My new bag :) $32.80 at Forever21.

I actually think I may be in love with this bag.
The pink sparkly thing you see, is my pencil bag...dork?
I carry multiple huge rings around, in case of accessory emergency.
Usually I have my phone and my camera in the bag, but my phone was missing, and my camera was taking the pictures.
Also, the huge Sephora makeup case is absolutely stuffed, and my hand sanitizer is empty because my school is full of grimy people. :)

A lady at work the other day was telling me that...
" A great bag shows how classy a lady is."

How to: Sparkle.

A big trend recently has been the incorporation of glitter or sparkle into outfits. Most girls really love this trend, but it can be tricky to grasp the concept.

We're not going for Kesha, people.
The only person who is supposed to pull of the Garbage-glitter look is, in fact, Kesha. So keep it simple.

Rules:

1. Keep it classy. If you're going for a sequined tank top, and going to be going out in it, pair it with a sheik, clean cut plain colored blazer. Not only is this cute, but takes the outfit to a more elegant level.
+++++++++++++++++++++ = CUTE.

2. A sequined clutch is always a must. From my perspective, never ever ever, wear a sequined clutch with same patterned shoes. It could be a bit overwhelming. Just saying.

3. Glitter on the eyes is beautiful, but play it safe. Go for a neutral colored shimmer, or pigment, and play it into your everyday makeup. It will make your eyes pop, and sparkle! A bit of a sparkly white shadow under the brow bone and in the inner tear duct is always beautiful, and makes you look awake and defined.

4. Sparkly nails are extremely hot.

Never be afraid to play around with colors, or different brands. Try it out, it's the only way you'll learn. I'd try out some by China Glaze, or OPI.

5. Don't be afraid to experiment, but know limits. If you thinks its a bit much, it probably is.

Try a full sequin dress, always beautiful, but pair it with accessories that help to tone it down.

6. Have fun with it. The trend may be out soon, so get it while it's hot.

"Some girls were just born with glitter in their veins."
Sparkle and shine.
