Last post.

Ciao,

Remember me?
I know, once again I'm neglecting..and I'm admitting that I'll probably be lagging a lot in the next few weeks. Once again I'm a high school senior, which if any of you are seniors you know what I'm going through. Work, work, work, college essays, school..blahblahblah..you get the gist.
Apparently, the day of my banquet (described in my last post) has been changed to a day in December. I'm a bit pissed, because I bought a dress already. Now that the day is in December, I want to get a different one to go along with the seasons. Wearing a tube top dress in the middle of winter really doesn't go along well with the idea that I believe I'm fashionable. Hopefully it will be easy to exchange.
It's October twenty ninth right now, which means yes...Halloween is Sunday. The thing about me is, I'm a party pooper until Thanksgiving. I really don't like Halloween. No reason, it just never has been the big deal to me that it is to everyone else. I'm more of a Christmas king of girl, if you didn't notice by the million countdowns I have. Just another damper on Sunday, I'll be working a nine hour shift at the grocery store...so much fun.

PS. IF ANYONE ELSE GOT THE NEW TAYLOR SWIFT CD...YOU KNOW THAT THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT HAS BEEN ON MY RADIO FOR THE PAST WEEK. I'M IN LOVE, WITH EVERY SINGLE SONG...

Anyway..

HAPPY HALLOWEEN.
I hope November brings you and I both happiness.
( and I kind of want it to bring some snow too...)
Love always

Banquet.

So, in my school..there are really only three big events that you look forward to, besides graduation. Those are: Junior Banquet, Senior Banquet and of course, Prom. Well, I didn't go to JB last year, because obviously I was too cool. And obviously, I regret not going now. BUT...my sb is coming up in a few weeks, and I'm getting excited! I've been looking at a few dresses, from Torrid of course..

Take a look...

I'm really picky, so I'm not ordering online. I'm planning a trip to the store soon!
Any choices? Opinions?
let me know!

Style.

Today was busy, but in the end..I'm happy. Why?
BECAUSE luckily for me, my sister works in a bookstore.
Why does that matter?
OH...maybe because...

I GOT LAUREN CONRADS NEW STYLE BOOK TODAY.

Let's just say, it's basically a bible for all girls looking to learn tricks of the trade and tips from someone who is such a relevant icon in todays fashion world.

From basics, to beauty, Lauren gives her insight into a world of glitz and glamor. There are all different chapters, and it's straight to the point. She mixes and matches different pieces to try to help people figure out outfits in a short amount of time. Conrad gives us a look inside of her closet, telling about her favorites, her must haves, and her, well..style.

Once again, Miss. Conrad, I'm very impressed. Congratulations, I'm sure this handbook will follow in the footsteps of your other accomplishments.

Long live fashion.

Julia Sheer.

"Looking back it was all so easy, I hope you know you're my last mistake.
Don't come around and say you need me, I won't stay.
Now I know that you were so deceiving.
Was it fun for you to walk away.
I hope you liked it, cause she's so damn easy.
You won't change.

Now I'm deafened by your silence, blinded by the tears.
If you're looking for forgiveness, you won't find that here.
Because you lied your way to heartbreak,
and now it's so clear,
that you will never be.."

Finally moving on, and it feels incredible.

Update.

Where in the world have I been?

One again, I'm using the excuse that I have school. It's not really as much of an excuse as it is the truth. I go to school Monday through Friday, then I have a class at FIT which basically takes up the whole day. The actual class starts at 1:30, but I have to take a 10:42 train from where I live, to be in Manhattan before the class. Last class, we actually went to MOOD fabrics. If you don't know what that is, it's the like, best fabric store on the east coast. The designers on project runway actually get to go there to get their fabrics. It was completely overwhelming, but so much fun. Wondering around NYC used to be like a vacation, now it's apart of my life. It's strange, you know, growing up. But I'm happy.

Also, I've worked almost every single day after school. I work at a grocery store, which seems so simple, but dealing with rude nasty people and screaming children, and not understanding the hundreds of other languages that people are screaming at you in, kind of takes a toll on you after a while. I come home from a four hour shift, completely exhausted.

Writing on this blog may seem pointless to those reading it, but for me it's like a diary. I no longer care about how people perceive me, or this blog. I'm going to continue to write and post and look how I feel, take it or leave it.

I have no one left to impress.

September Remembered

So I've never done this kind of post before, or atleast I don't think I have..but I have a lot of stuff to talk about and I don't feel like putting it all into separate blogs. Like on youtube, I've decided to do a monthly favorites blog. If you don't know what this is, it's just a whole bunch of your favorite products or clothes and whatnot from during the previous month. SO...here are mine from September!

MAKEUP :

1. NYC bronzer in the shade "Sunny"-

Honestly, I grabbed this product a few months ago just as a cheap alternative to buying another MAC MSFN because twenty eight dollars is a bit much. I fell inlove. I don't know why, but this bronzer works perfectly with my skin. AND the best part...is the price..it's like 2 dollars!

2. NYC Blushable creme stick in the shade Piazza Pink-

I heard about this product through Eleventh Gorgeous on YT, and decided I'd try it when I saw that it was like 4 dollars at Walmart. I want to buy every single shade in the stick now. The payoff is incredible, and the formula doesn't make me oily, and stays on for a long time. It almost looks like Ladyblush by Mac. I love it! I've been using it almost all month.

3. L'Oreal hip Jellie Balm in Succulent and Plush-
I did an entire review on these products a few months ago, but since then I've kind of pushed them to the back of my draw. The other day I saw them and decided to start using them again, and I'm glad I did! Go check out the review!

4. L'Oreal Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner-

Simply the best liquid liner that has ever touched my face. Theres no words to describe this product, because it's the best. The felt tip applicator and payoff of the product is insane, and I'm inlove. I'll never use another.

6. Filling in my eyebrows-
Just a random thing that I really had never done before but makes a huge difference. Any brown eyeliner pencil will do. It helps to define and make your eyebrows look perfect!

7. Bold Lashes-
I have a whole blog from last month talking about my all time favorite mascaras. Any of them would be perfect here, go check it out!

Last but not least...

8. Dark/Grey nails-

Try chinchilly or Mink Muffs by Essie.
Such a random color to put on your nails, but I really think it's simple and pretty to have a greyish brown polish on your nails for fall. Dark nails are always in for fall/winter, so of course they're my favorite.

I hope you all had a great September, I know I did.

Inspiration seven: Whitney Port

This inspiration is someone who I'll soon be studying, a lot. For my class at FIT, we will be making style boards based on color and style of a certain celebrity. I don't know why, besides the fact that she's absolutely beautiful, and classy, that I chose her.

She has her own tv show, and line of clothing. She is Whitney Port. A star whom for a while sat in the shadow of another of my style icons, Lauren Conrad, but now shines brightly wherever she is seen.
She first appeared in the Hills, but now has her show, the City..which is all about her life in NYC, working for multiple designers, and creating her own line.

For my boards, I'll be using different patterns to describe her style, such as lace and light print florals, as well as incorporating elements of edge. It's hard to define her style by just saying that she sticks to one style and never changes, because that's not the case. She's very eclectic, but never goes to wild. Simple sheik with phases of intensity.

I consider Whitney an inspiration, because just as Lauren Conrad has, Whitney has managed to stay down to Earth even though she is constantly surrounded by cameras. She never looks dull, and always seems to be happy.

So here's to you Miss Port, I hope my boards can define you to a tee, and that you stay beautiful and classy.

La Bonne Vie.

New.

Part one of October..
Well, even though I'm three days late on this, HAPPY OCTOBER everyone! So, if you live in the NY area, and you are reading this..you know October started with torrential down pours and about 85mph winds..and disgusting humidity. Someone definitely slapped mother nature across the face because NOW it's beautiful, and the temperature is not going above about 60 degrees.

Part 2 of October..
Which that 60 degrees was a perfect temperature to be walking around in New York City. You know, like I was yesterday...for my FIRST FIT CLASS! SO EXCITING! Can I just say that the campus of the school is flooded with beautiful people dressed like they own the world? I have clothes, but I definitely need to go shopping. My class had 12 girls in it which is relatively small. If you didn't know I'm taking a class called Fabric Styling for Fashion. My professor is so sweet, and I'm happy because I've heard horror stories about professors. I really am so excited to start working in the class, I feel like it's going to be a really good experience. After class my friend and I still had about an hour after our train, so we decided to go to the forever21 in Manhattan which is absolutely huge. It's like four floors and it's so stuffed with clothes it's hard to take in everything. I was in love! After that, we had a train to catch, and it was back to reality.

My friend picked me up from the train, and we went to one of my best friends house for a party. Can I just say I probably have some of the craziest friends you'll ever meet?

Part 3 of October..
Now it's 8Am, on October 3rd, and I have to be at work in an hour. Let's hope I don't fall asleep on the register.

EVERYONE, bundle up and enjoy the cold!
Have a good sunday!
-K.
