My new favorite storeee!

A new store opened up in my mall last weekend, and I cannot believe that I hadn't been in it sooner than yesterday. None the less, I went in twice and spent almost seventy dollars. BUT, the thing is...I COULD HAVE SPENT EVERY PENNY I HAD IN MY WALLET.

The store is called Francesca's collection, and how I have been describing it to people is a "classic boutique" that's close to a Vera Bradley type feeling. When you enter the store, you no longer feel that you are in a crowded mall, but in a small town boutique with tons of cute clothes, and accessories.

One of the things that I bought was really exciting, because usually when I go into a store I don't find bags that I like. I actually had to decide between about six that I wanted. I chose the " Weaving through" bag. For $58, I was sold.

This bag has three different straps to choose from. One is a chain weaved short strap, to hold the bag by hand, or in the crook of the arm. The next is a long strap that came inside of the bag to wear it cross body. And the last is not detachable, but look really good with the other two on. The inside is a brown fabric with ivory lace looking detail. I love it so much!

Next I bought nail polish. Surprise! I bought a bunch, because the bottles are small and they were only two for two dollars...um..HELLO...how was I supposed to say no to that?

Last, I picked up a pair of earrings. They are pink stones, wrapped in a gold lining, that aren't studs, but they dangle from a j hook. I love them. They add a pop of color and bling to any outfit. I CAN'T FIND THEM ONLINE THOUGH SO THAT'S ANNOYING.

You need to look into this store, it is so great. I can only say wonderful things about it! Check it out online for most of it's beautiful clothes and accessories, as well as fun nick nack type items.

LOVE IT!

hmph...

So I know everyone has something to say about Justin Bieber, but I don't have much to say besides I think he's a good artist, and dating one of my idols. And if you have alot to say, it's probably out of jealousy out of what incredible success this boy has had.
But, that's not the point of this post. I just wanted to point out how stellar both of them looked at the Billboard awards last night!!

You're lying if you don't think they do.

My california king.

"Chest to chest
Nose to nose
Palm to palm
We were always just that close
Wrist to wrist
Toe to toe
Lips that felt just like the inside of a rose
So how come when I reach out my finger
It feels like more than distance between us

In this California king bed
We're 10,000 miles apart
I've been California wishing on these stars
For your heart for me
My California king ."
-Rihanna

This song is so simple, with such a strong meaning. I'm in love.

Outfit one, edgy-chic.

Spring is a time to shed some of those heavy layers. Try this cropped-poncho type shirt with beautiful lace detailing on the back. For the bottom, I paired the top with a clean pair of black jeans. These pants are great because in one second they could be casual...or dressed up with a pair of heels!

Accessories are always a must, in my eyes.

For this outfit, I chose a Betsey Johnson bag, with black and grey skulls, roses, and studs. I really love this bag and think it would be a great addition to a collection. Jewllery would be another trend from this season! Try a long ring, that stretches from knuckle to knuckle. While being a bit dramatic, these rings are really beautiful. The shoes I chose for this outfit are also found at Torrid, but are designs from the Jessica Simpson line. The studs on the shoes blend well in with the bag, and ring!

All clothing and accessories are available at Torrid stores, or online at www.torrid.com.

Mint Vs. Mint

A huge trend this season is mint green colored nails. I have been so obsessed with this trend lately, that I truly believe that I now own most well known mint-type polishes on the market. The thing that bothers me so much, because well, if you didn't hear, the economy sucks, and money is tight....so $8.50 for a bottle of polish is a bit ridiculous to me, as much as I love it. If you can afford that, it's worth it, but if you're looking for a lower end type polish, you can still fall into this hot trend.

There are so many different mint-type polishes out there. Here are a few of my favorites, try some out!!!

1. China Glaze - Refresh Mint

2. Essie - Mint Candy Apple

3. Revlon - Minted

4. Sally Hanson - Mint Sorbet

5. MAC Nail Lacquer - Mischievous Mint

6. Nicole by OPI - Hint of Mint

7. Chanel - Jade

A very popular spring look, for less, or more!

May..

I'm a bit late on this, but then again when am I ever on time?
Oh well. Hello again, whomever is currently reading this.
Like I do with every month, I'm going to ramble a bit...

I cannot believe April is over, and Spring is finally here. It's finally hitting me how horrified I am of growing older. I have a little under a month left of high school. For three years I've been dreaming of these months and thinking of how exciting it must be to graduate and be a senior in their last days of gracing the halls of the school which they hated. The thing is, I didn't hate my school, really. I disliked a lot of things about it, or people, but hate is a very strong word. The place that I'm leaving is the place that shaped me into the person that I am today, and the building in which I grew to love many of my best friends. A lot of those friends, however, will be leaving to go on to bigger and better things within the next few months. This, is the part that scares me. I'm sure any senior right now is kind of nodding their head in agreement.
Some of my closest friends will be traveling many miles away to achieve their dreams. I am dreading graduation at this point, not because I'm leaving school, but because I'm leaving them, and leaving the past four years of my life down a couple of walls in a building that I was terrified of as a child.
These are the best and worst days of Senior Year. I finally realized that I have to work to achieve what I want, and the day a child realizes that, they grow up. And it sucks. A lot. I've realized how stressful adulthood is within my first two months of actually being an adult. And the year flies by, and then it's May of your Senior year.

And then suddenly, everything is okay. You take a deep breath, and take it all in. And you realize that you'll never lose those friends if they're worth keeping by. And that growing up is actually amazing, and you can experience so much more. And then Spring is here, and in less then a month, I'll be college bound. And I'm excited, and horrified at the same time.

So good luck, to everyone this May, whether or not you're my age, younger , or older. A lot is about to change, so enjoy every moment while it lasts.
