product review!
I never use to use makeup wipes. I always just used my face wash and cleanser and my makeup would come off. Makeup wipes are alot easier and faster to use than going through the whole washing your face deal. I'm not saying DO NOT WASH YOUR FACE...
What I'm saying is that if you ever need to remove your makeup fast an efficiently, makeup wipes are the way to go. I've tried a couple different types, from high end, like MAC, to low end, like ELF. Some work well, while others just leave an oily sheen and a bit of makeup residue on your face. Recently though, I found the perfect wipe.
They are the Neutrogena Makeup Remover cleansing towelettes. On the package it reads: Ultra soft clothes, patented formula dissolves all traces of makeup, even waterproof mascara. I've never been a fan of waterproof mascara so I'm not sure how true that is. But on my eyes I wear a lot of liquid liner, and mascara, and with one or two swipes of one of the clothes all is basically removed. They are thick clothes that don't leave your skin dry, which is always a plus.
Not only are they good wipes, but they are also really affordable. I know the MAC wipes run around $18 for a pack of 45. These were $5 for a pack of 25. They leave your skin feeling clean and relaxed without oil debris.
I love these wipes, so definitely check them out if you're in need of a new makeup removing system.

Smell the love.
Just a quick review of something I've seemingly fallen so in love with within the past week. If you watch any beauty guru on youtube, especially AllthatGlitters21(Elle), you have heard about this candle.
It's the "Leaves" candle by Slatkin and Co.
They're sold at Bath and Body Works, and they come in different sizes. The smell is completely mesmerizing. It seriously fills the room with a thick but subtle breeze of cinnamon apples, and autumn. Perfectly described in one word, leaves.
The only reason I didn't purchase the actual candle is because I'm not aloud to burn them in my room, in fear of it somehow magically falling off the surface and setting the house ablaze. I didn't walk out empty handed however. I bought the "wallflowers". Their basically oil airfreshners, and they work so well. I was a bit skeptical, but most of the winter products at BBW are on sale now, so why not?
I'm not usually a big candle person, but honestly it's incredible, and I wouldn't be spending my time writing about it if I wasn't being 120 percent honest. Check it out if you get the chance!

A new year.
Two thousand eleven.
Where did last year go?
It seems like only yesterday I was a freshman, terrified of high school and simply trying to fit in and not make a complete fool of myself in front of the upperclassmen. Now I'm a senior, and there are only six months left for me at my school. The past four years have seriously flown by.
I cannot believe that it is already January. I'm happy and excited, yet a bit nervous about this year. So much is about to change for me.
For one, I'm awaiting the arrival of letters letting me know my fate on colleges I've applied to. I applied of course, to FIT (The Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC), SUNY Oneonta ( Upstate NY ), and Johnson and Wales( Rhode Island ). I'm excited to go to college, but it just doesn't seem like it's really all happening.
In the last year I turned seventeen, made new friends, adventured into the city on my own, saw my idol, got a job, and turned into the person I finally am happy to be.
This year, I can only hope goes as well as last year did.
I hope it does for you all too.
